Munich
2019 in review
Bye-bye 2019, hello 2020! Time to take a look at how far SheSays Munich has come, what the past year had in store for us – and sneak-peaking on our plans for the next year.
First, some numbers: In 2019, we’ve grown from 2 to 7 team members, hosted 11 events in 3 locations with 4 different sponsors, who provided us with delicious food and beverages. And most important – our community in Munich has grown significantly. We had the pleasure to welcome 19 speakers on our SheSays stage and meet over 500 amazing women (and men) at our monthly sessions.
What SheSays Munich stands for
Our mission is to establish a safe space for women for open dialogues on a variety of topics, so they can empower themselves and grow together. From the very first event on, we wanted to create an atmosphere full of trust and positive energy. The outcome is beyond what we could have ever expected!
Together, we talked about love, work-life balance and sustainability, heard personal stories of success and failures, and learned to be more mindful and creative. The events were inspiring, heartfelt, and sometimes emotional. We laughed and cried, learned and shared, found new connections and friendships, and feel blessed in having met so many amazing, strong individuals.
Thank you for an amazing 2019
We from SheSays Munich want to say ‘Thank you’. Thank you for supporting us, for sharing your thoughts and stories, for being fearless, for opening up and being vulnerable, for being trustful and understanding. After each event, we go home filled with positivity, power and a big smile on our faces that drives and inspires us to continue this project. Thank you for making us feel our impact!
In 2020, there’s a lot more to come: We’re already planning many new events, more workshops and initiatives to support women in Munich. For example, at the end of 2019, we have initiated ‘She creates’ and will continue it. Once a week, we will feature works of artists, business owners, designers, writers and illustrators from Munich – so that we can all profit from the skills, knowledge and creativity within our community.
Also, we want to talk with you about topics like family and work, body acceptance or founding a business as a women, but also you can get inspired by workshops such as photography or hand lettering. If you have any ideas on topics or if you would like to share your story or skills, please feel free to contact us via shesays.munich@gmail.com.
