A deeper look

Today’s workplace is not fit-for-purpose. People have told us that inclusivity, diversity and flexibility aren’t at the levels they need to be if we’re to meet the evolving needs of a diverse workforce.

Equal pay and opportunities 74%
Truly fair and flexible work policies 68.6%
Topics like menopause, periods and neurodiversity are normalised 32.5%

The biggest thing that’s missing from current workplaces:

1. Truly fair and flexible work policies
2. Equal pay and opportunities
3. All leadership styles and personalities are valued
4. Effective internal and external communications

Workplace challenges people have experienced the most:

A lack of representation in leadership 74.6%
Lack of diversity in the company 61.5%

Flexible working must become default

By making workplaces truly flexible, we believe we can help unlock more opportunities for more people – especially women, caregivers, neurodivergent and disabled employees.

The future is unwritten

Why this matters

The future is fast approaching. Automation and artificial intelligence are sweeping through every sector, industry and role. And when big shifts happen, it’s often women and minority groups who get left behind.

We need to plan for a better future. One where every person (and in turn, every business) can thrive – regardless of what’s coming.

What we want to achieve

We want to show what a world of work that works for everyone looks like. We know it should be rooted in equality, but how this shows up will be different for different groups.

If we can hear from as many people from as many backgrounds and experiences as possible, we can weave a rich tapestry of perspectives. This will help paint a vision for the future that is more compelling than ever.
