The future of work

“The Future of work” is definitely a buzzword. With over 300 million hits on a Google search, companies and leaders are trying to define and prepare for what’s next – or better said – what’s already here. From new trends in collaborative work, to the demand for transparent company values, what defines job happiness and company success has been radically reimagined. Our panel will give their point of view on this changing landscape and what they think we can learn from it.

Tari Cash – General Manager @ Catalant Technologies
Tari Cash is General Manager of the Travel, Transportation & Logistics (TTL) practice at Catalant. Catalant believes by 2020, 43% of American Professionals will work independently, so it created a proprietary algorithm that matches independent experts and boutique consulting firms to enterprises with a strategic project need. Tari and her team are focused on building the new TTL vertical by developing a portfolio of Fortune 1000 clients, and opening the company’s first regional office in Washington DC. Prior to Catalant, she led Under Armour’s go-to-market strategy for its Connected Fitness hardware products, and she launched and managed Tesla Motors’ East Coast Operations. Tari loves to help young, dynamic companies grow, and she thrives at the intersection of strategy and operations.

Lauren Maffeo – Content Editor @ GetApp
Lauren Maffeo covers emerging technology trends as a content editor for GetApp – a Gartner Digital Markets company. In this role, she works from an open-floor office in Arlington, Virginia, and reports to a team based in Barcelona, Spain. She previously managed content at Aha! – one of America’s fastest-growing SaaS companies based in Silicon Valley – where she worked as part of a fully remote team from her home in Bethesda. Earlier this year, Lauren was named to The Drum‘s 50 Under 30 list of women worth watching in digital.

Becca Landwehr – Designer @ OPX Global
Born and raised in the Midwest, Becca holds a Bachelor’s in Public Communication with a minor in Art History from Truman State University in Missouri. Upon moving to DC, she dabbled in Social Media + Brand Management, Publication Design + Layout, Event Planning, and Office + Facilities Management before earning her Masters in Interior Architecture + Design from the George Washington University. Becca has been with OPX for 2 years and has experience in workplace strategy and commercial design. Having recently been named to GW’s Interior Architecture + Design Advisory Board, she regularly serves on design juries and mentors emerging design students along with youth through design immersion programs at the District Architecture Center. In her spare time, she plays competitive volleyball and enjoys a nice glass of wine on her brand new patio.
