Katy Jeremko is co:founder and CCO at re:3D, a social enterprise and Texas-based manufacturer of the world’s first affordable toilet-sized 3D printer — Gigabot. While working on her undergraduate degree in 2013, re:3D was launched through the Start-Up Chile global accelerator and ran a successful $250k Kickstarter campaign. Prior to founding re:3D, Katy served as Designer in Residence for NASA’s Open Government Initiative, associate EIR at SU’s Student Sandbox, and Upstate’s StartUp Labs accelerator consultant. Today, Katy is an advocate for Open-Source hardware, software, and the democratization of design. Katy holds a Bachelors of industrial design and interaction, coupled with a degree in information technology from Syracuse University class of 2014.
