Kicking off SheSays DC – recap

SheSays DC kicked off the first meeting at the end of February – and despite tornado warnings, torrential downpours and 5x Uber fares, we still had a great showing of industry professionals from agencies, brands, government and more.

The evening started with some networking (and drying off) before getting into our panel talking about all things digital, featuring Katie Krum, from Under Armour, and Paula Moniz, from DMI.

The panelists covered some of the exciting work happening inside their own companies, thoughts on consumer behavior and what they look forward to in the future.

A key theme of the night was how data can and should influence how brands and companies approach their customers.

Both panelists touched on the opportunities that retailers have to make any in-store experience not only special, but also relevant to each consumer on your way in, on your way out and even later on in your day.

It was great to get perspectives from both the brand and agency side – both agreeing that now, more than ever before, we have the opportunity to create truly special and catered experiences for consumers everywhere.

We wrapped up with a few questions – and then more wine, pizza, and chatting while not sitting in chairs.

Our next event will be happening in early April – stay tuned for details. For those who weren’t able to attend the first one, we hope to see you there!
